DIY Speaker Repair - Anyone Can Do It!

On this episode, we take a look at repairing a blown subwoofer. This broken speaker blew a couple of years ago while I had them at the office. I replaced the entire set, but boxed the old one up and brought it home because I knew the problem. However, it does seem to have some other problems after sitting in the garage for a couple of years, but that's for a different show.

We used this Simply Speaker for parts at work in the past and found they have parts to repair any speaker I searched. No exception here, did a simple search on their website https://simplyspeakers.com @Simply Speakers, found what I was looking for and placed the order. It arrived a couple of days later and I got to work. I also had pair of JBL 4410A's that had the foam surround that deteriorated; I was able to get the parts for them too and you will get to see them in action here.

They have a good YouTube Channel (mentioned above) with detailed instructions. @Simply Speakers is a GREAT resource! Before you throw away a set of speakers that have some problems, check them out first! They have parts for voice coils, crossovers, surround repair kits, grill cloths, diaphragms, etc. A lot of repairs are easy enough anyone can do it!
